New Delhi: Board Examinations of Class X and XII will start on Monday, 5th March 2018. These examinations are conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
According to the report published by Zee News, over 28 lakh candidates are likely to appear the examinations. As per an official of CBSE, a total of 16,38,428 candidates have registered for class X examination whereas 11,86,306 candidates have registered for class XII examination.
It may be mentioned that the board exam for Class X is reintroduced as the government decided to drop Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation (CCE). Examinations for Class X will be held at 4,453 centres across the country and 78 centres outside India whereas class XII exam will be conducted at 4,138 centres in India and 71 centres abroad.
It is also reported that the students who are diabetes patient can carry eatables inside the examination centres. CBSE has also decided to permit candidates with special needs to write examination using laptops. However, devices will be checked thoroughly by computer faculty at the examination centre.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, President Ram Nath Kovind extended his wishes to the students appearing for these exams.
