Board of Directors of Minority Finance Corporation has endorsed the decision of re-opening of multi-crore scam of the corporation through CBCID. A meeting of board of directors of the corporation was held on Wednesday in Hyderabad, presided over by Special Secretary Minority Welfare Department Syed Omer Jaleel. Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation Prof. S A Shukoor, Commissioner Minority Welfare sheikh Mohammed Iqbal, deputy secretaries of Finance department and Minority Welfare Department attended the meeting.
Crime Investigation Department had given a clean chit to the then general manager and the accounts officer of the AP Minority Finance Corporation in the multi-crore fixed deposit scam while holding the former managing director Ilyas Rizvi solely responsible for the fraud.
Mohammed Hashim Shariff, the then MD of the Corporation, on 6th November, 2012, had asked the CID to re-investigate the case.
