New Delhi: This is not the first time when two of them (BMW Motorrad and Lego Technic) have come up with a unique concept. Previously they both together have designed Lego model of BMW Motorrad’s iconic R 1200 GS. It’s now high time to invent something better than that. The flying bike is their new concept. They have named the flying bike as Hover Ride. ”The concept of the flying bike is not fully real. But the first step has been taken”, says BMW Head.
The concept has been inspired from Lego replica of the BMW R 1200 GS. The bike has 306 parts and with the same parts, one can also make a Lego Technic model of Hover Ride.
The experts were so fascinated by the model that they desired to create a real flying Hover Ride by themselves. The idea was a challenge to make a fictional model from the component of LEGO Technic BMW R 1200 GS. The elements like boxer engine and the characteristic GS silhouette are incorporated with BMW Motorrad design DNA. Very soon there will be motorbike gliding in the air, says Alexander Buckan, Head of BMW motor vehicle design
The model was first showcased at the Lego World in Copenhagen and within few days it will be displayed at other major BMW Motorrad centers in Europe.
