In Nalgonda, heated arguments took place between the police and the protestors and pushed each other when the BLF men tried to storm the Collectorate. The police arrested some 200 protesters along with CPM leader Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy. On the other hand, the police detained several BLF leaders also as a precautionary measure.

The police put former MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy in house arrest in Miryalaguda. Speaking on the occasion, Julakanti alleged that the TRS government not only failed to fulfill its assurances made before the elections but also suppressing the voice of the Opposition parties. He said the people would teach a fitting lesson to the TRS in the ensuing elections. The government cannot stop the movements with the arrests, he warned. (NSS)
