Nigeria, February 14: The explosions occurred near the Sultan Muhammad Bello mosque, killing at least one person on Tuesday, a Press TV correspondent reported.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Violence has been on the rise in the African state in the past few weeks.
Last month, a series of attacks in Kano city killed at least 185 people.
The Salafist group of Boko Haram claimed responsibility for those attacks.
Boko Haram, which is waging insurgency against the government, have targeted both Muslims and Christians in their attacks.
The group said it carried out the attacks in response to Nigerian authorities’ refusal to release a number of Boko Haram members arrested in the northern city of Kano.
