Blast death toll in China’s Tianjin City rises to 44

London, Aug. 13 : The death toll from the explosions in the Chinese city of Tianjin has risen to 44, while the injury toll has crossed the 500 mark.

According to the BBC, there were 12 firefighters among the dead.

Two blasts occurred in a warehouse storing “dangerous and chemical goods” in the port area of the city.

Hospitals in the city are believed to be choc-a-bloc with causalities.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for “all-out efforts” to rescue victims and contain the fire. (ANI)
