Madurai, October 06: At least two people were killed and two others were injured in a blast at the Chozavandhanam railway station which is situated 40 kms from Madurai.
The injured included the station master. Deafening sound of the blast was heard as the Myladuorai-Tirunelveli train arrived at the station.
A senior police official confirmed the blast. He refused to give more details. Reports said that the bomb exploded on the platform.
The rescue operation was on at the station. Other details about the incident were awaited.
