Lucknow, February 13: Caught in the act, filmed and allegedly blackmailed by the husband of his illicit lover, a man committed suicide in Jhansi district, police said today.
Ajay Kumar Yadav (30), who had an alleged illicit relationship with his tenant Pinki, was allegedly filmed by her husband Bhoopendra, who was blackmailing Yadav, Special DG (Law and Order) Brijlal told reporters here.
Yadav had given Rs 80,000 twice to Bhoopendra but he continued to demand money form him due to which he allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling of his house in Tondon Garden area of Jhansi, the officer said.
The police is probing the matter further.
