Black money: Baba Ramdev meets Sharad Yadav, Ajit Singh

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev today met Civil Aviation Minister and Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Ajit Singh and Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav in an effort to garner political support on the issue of black money stashed abroad. “We are raising the issues of corruption and black money for a long time in and outside Parliament,” Mr Yadav told reporters after meeting with Baba Ramdev. Mr Yadav, who is also NDA Convenor, said they were agree with the yoga guru on the issues of corruption and black money but their ‘ways were different’. Earlier in the day Baba Ramdev met Mr Singh and sought his support on black money issue. “It is a major problem and I believe the Baba is creating some awareness among masses about the issueit is good,” Mr Singh told reporters. He said the government has been trying to bring back black money stashed abroad. Baba Ramdev on Tuesday also met NCP chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar. Mr Pawar had said the yoga guru’s suggestions to tackle the menace of black money were ‘pragmatic’. BJP national president Nitin Gadkari has already supported Baba Ramdev’s movement against black money. UNI
