Black flag was hoisted at Telangana Bhavan, the party headquarter of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, on Thursday to mark “Betrayal Day”. President TRS K Chandrashekhar Rao appealed to party leaders and activists to observe Andhra Pradesh formation day on November 1, as ‘Betrayal Day’.
Senior party leader and former minister N Narsimha Reddy hoisted black flag. He also unfurled TRS flag. Speaking on the occasion N Narsimha Reddy told that in united Andhra, injustices have been meted out in every field towards Telangana and justice would be done only after the formation of separate Telangana state.
The students of Osmania University too hoisted black flags in the OU campus and also tried to take out a rally. However, the police foiled the attempt, which consequently led to stone pelting by the students followed by lathi charge and firing of teargas shells by the police.
