Black Day observed by Telangana Praja Front

Opposing the A.P. Formation Day Celebrations, Telangana Praja Front observed 1st November as Black Day in Hyderabad and other Telangana districts.

Protests were staged with black flags. Telangana Praja Front leaders, Mr. Ved Kumar, Ms. Ratnamala, Mr. Sanaullah Khan, Mr. Ch. Prabhakar, Prof. Anwar Khan, Mr. Devender, Mr. N.Krishna and others participated in the protest programmes by hoisting black flags in various places in Telangana.

The leaders of Praja Front also participated in the relay hunger strike of Telangana employees of Agricultural University to express their solidarity.

Addressing the hunger strike camp, Mr. Ved Kumar said that celebrating A.P. Formation Day on official basis tantamount to playing with the sentiments of the people of Telangana. He told that in every field, Andhra rulers have victimized the people of Telangana. He pointed out that the employees of A.P. who were appointed as class IV employees earlier have now become gazetted officers now. Junior officers of A.P. are being promoted to higher posts.

Hundreds of youths of Telangana have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana and they have kept the Telangana Movement alive so far. They have also decided to intensify their stir against the excesses of Andhra rulers.

Mr. Ved Kumar told that the Govt. tried in vain to crush Telangana activists on the occasion of A.P. formation Day by using Police force.

He said that elaborate police arrangements and use of force by the Govt. and the undemocratic arrests of Telangana supporters couldn’t weaken Telangana Movement.

He declared that the struggle for Telangana would continue till a separate State is formed. Telangana Praja Front is prepared to offer any amount of sacrifice for the cause of Telangana. He lamented the step taken by the Govt. to celebrate A.P. Formation Day on 1st November. Rich tribute was paid to Telangana ideologue, Prof. K. Jayashankar at the Hunger Strike camp.

Two minutes silence was also observed to commemorate the sacrifice made by thousands of students.
