New Delhi: BJP’s Kailash VIjayvargiya known for making controversial statements stroke a fresh one by labelling his party colleague BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha as ‘dog’.
Kailash on Monday expressed his disappointment over Shatrughan Sinha’s remarks on the party’s debacle in the Bihar polls and compared him to a dog walking past a car and thinking that the car was following it.
Vijayvargiya said it was the BJP that has given a political identity to Sinha, and urged the latter to remain loyal to the party.
“Jab gaadi chalti hai, kutta niche chalta hai,Kutta samajhta hai gaadi mere bharose chal rahi hai (Suppose a vehicle is going and a dog walks past it, the dog thinks that the vehicle is moving because of it). A party is not run by one person, it is a group, there is a chain,” Vijayvargiya told ANI here.
“Shatrughan Sinha’s identity in politics is because of BJP, BJP’s identity is not due to Shatrughan Sinha. He has to decide how loyal he wants to be to the party….I am disappointed with his behaviour,” he added.
Shtrughan Sinha on Sunday said ignoring him in Bihar had cost his party a humiliating defeat.
“You removed deserving people. You kept ‘Bihari Babu’ away from Bihar,” Sinha had said.
The Mahagathbandhan won 178 seats in Bihar, a commanding two-third majority in the 243-member assembly. The Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies had to settle for a mere 58 seats.
Kailash’s statement comes just days after he attacked Shah Rukh Khan questioning the actor’s patriotism.
“Aisa lagta hai, woh rahte hain Hindustan mein, lekin unka aatma Pakistan mein hai (It seems he (Shah Rukh) lives here but his soul is in Pakistan),” Vijayvargiya had said.
After VK Singh, who on the death of two Dalit children said: “If someone throws a stone at a dog, you will hold the government responsible,” now Kailash, the BJP general secretary and a former state minister of Madhya Pradesh has chosen the term ‘dog’?
