New Delhi: Taking a jibe at the Bharatiya-Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA Government, the Janata Dal (United) on Monday said their defeat will cause internal conflict in the party.
“After Amit Shah became the party chief, the old members were not given much importance. Now those members will be able to put their views clearly and it will raise internal conflict in the party,” JD (U) leader K.C. Tyagi told ANI.
Tyagi was commenting on senior BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha who expressed his dissent saying that ignoring ‘Bihar babu’ had indeed cost the BJP a humiliating defeat.
“You removed deserving people. You kept ‘Bihari Babu’ away from Bihar, even as he had predicted the writings on the wall,” said Sinha, adding that he had warned the party to refrain from negative politics, but he was ignored.
The grand alliance bagged 178 seats, while the BJP-led NDA won 58 seats. (ANI)
