BJP won’t spare anti-national elements; Kishan slams Congress, Left parties for “shameful” politics

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP State president and MLA G. Kishan Reddy today alleged that the Congress and Left parties were endangering the unity and integrity of the country by supporting anti-national elements in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The Congress and the Left parties were practising heinous politics to weaken the NDA government in the name of intolerance.
Telangana BJP leaders today staged a protest here on Monday against “anti-national” activities in various universities in the country. Addressing mediapersons later, Kishan Reddy said Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi extended support to anti-national elements in the JNU, who were observing Afzal Guru’s death anniversary on the JNU campus.
Kishan Reddy said Terrorism was a worldwide phenomenon and against the development and humanity. The BJP would fight against the Congress and Communist parties with zero tolerance, he said, and exhorted Congress leaders to question Rahul Gandhi for his support to traitors. Rahul Gandhi has no moral right to continue as a member of Lok Sabha, he said, adding that they would launch a door-to-door campaign to instill national spirit in the minds of public.
BJP floor leader in the Assembly Dr K Laxman said all the “anti-national” activities in the Universities were pre-planed by some student organizations and Opposition parties to defame the nation on international level. He exhorted the people to fight against the anti-social elements for development of the country.
MLC Chintala Ramachandra Reddy said, “While our solders were dying at the hands of terrorists while protecting the country, the Congress and Left parties were extending support to anti-national elements with an intention to dismember the country. Even the University teachers were misleading the students for their petty interests. JNU faculty members have spoken against the nation and extended support to anti-social elements”.
Telangana BJP general secretary Sambamurty alleged that Congress leaders, especially AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi was encouraging the anti-social elements in the Universities and posing a threat to national integrity and unity of the people. He also alleged the Congress and Left parties’ leaders were misusing freedom of speech by supporting students for condemning execution of Afzal Guru. He also warned that those who support “anti-national” activities would be treated as traitors in the county.
BJP leaders Pradeep, Muralidhar, Sridhar and others participated in the protest. (NSS)
