BJP floor leader in Assembly Dr. K Lakshman said that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s main rival in forthcoming GHMC elections would be Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM).
Speaking to media persons after the meeting of Election Committee at party headquarters in Nampally here on Thursday, Lakshman claimed that BJP would emerge as the largest party in the next GHMC elections and would capture the post of Mayor. He said BJP’s main agenda in next elections would be to defeat MIM-TRS combine.
Lakshman said that the BJP cadre has been asked to gear up for the municipal elections. He said that the TRS Government has been losing the confidence of people and it did not show any seriousness in the development of Hyderabad. The government behaved in an irresponsible manner even when the sanitation workers went to strike. (INN)
