Hyderabad: Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy said that the party would focus on strengthening its base in rural areas of Telangana.
Addressing a press conference at BJP Headquarters at Nampally here on Monday, Kishan Reddy said that as part of national campaign, the Telangana State unit would organise different awareness programmes in rural areas on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of April. He said district level meetings would be held on 6th, 7th and 8th April while mandal-level meetings would be organised on 10th, 11th and 12th April. He said that the campaign would end on April 25th with the live coverage of meeting to be held in a village of Jamshedpur which will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Kishan Reddy said that the BJP would strengthen its base to emerge as an alternate to TRS in Telangana State in 2019 elections. He alleged that while Congress was a family-controlled party, TRS Government too was being run by KCR and Owaisi families. He claimed that the BJP was the only democratic party in the country and it would grow stronger in Telangana State. (INN)
