Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah has claimed that his party would emerge as a major political force in Telangana State by 2019.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Amit Shah said that the BJP would strengthen itself across both the Telugu speaking States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and the outcome of 2019 elections would surprise everyone. He said that the BJP’s alliance with Telugu Desam Party would continue in both AP and Telangana. He said that the BJP was focussing on strengthening the organisation right from village to State levels.
Amit Shah also claimed that the performance of BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre during the last two years was exemplary. He said that the BJP has launched a 15-day long campaign on May 26 to reach the masses so as to enlighten people about the Central schemes and also take their feedback on Central Government’s performance. He said that the previous Congress regime was indulged in scams worth nearly Rs. 12 lakh crore. However, BJP has ensured a corruption-free government during the last two years. (INN)
