BJP State president and MLA G. Kishan Reddy today welcomed the Union government’s decision to execute the death penalty imposed by Supreme Court on Pakistan ISI sponsored terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who triggered massacre in Mumbai where hundreds of innocent citizens were killed in the indiscriminate shoot-out.
In a statement here today, Kishan Reddy stated that there was an imperative need for the government to send clear signals that it would deal sternly with those who indulge in mindless violence in the name of terrorism. He pointed out that thousands of civilians and security personnel were killed ruthlessly in the country since a few years owing to international terrorism, especially the Pakistan-sponsored ISI.
that the Union government spent several lakh crores of rupees as part of anti-terrorist activities, the BJP leader has stressed the need to curb terrorism with iron hand as it posed a challenge to the humanity and development of the country.
Though the Supreme Court had imposed death penalty on the ISI terrorist Afzal Guru six years ago for organizing attack on Parliament House, the BJP leader said it was unfortunate that the Centre failed to execute the verdict of the highest court of the land so far. He demanded that the Centre implement the SC verdict to hang Afzal Guru immediately.
