BJP wants TP JAC to remain neutral in Parakala

The Bharatiya Janata Party National Secretary Dr K. Laxman has appealed to the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee to remain neutral and not to politicize the Parakala Assembly by-election.

Speaking to the media persons here on Saturday, Laxman urged the people of Parakala constituency to cast their vote to favour of Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. He pointed out only a National Party would bring separate Telangana state. The people of the region have lost hope on the Congress party to announce the separate Telangana state, he added. He said that BJP would win in Parakala by- election.

Laxman said that the National executive meeting of the party was held at Mumbai on May 24 and 25. He felt the common people were expressing anguish over the congress Government hiking the price of petrol, diesel and essential commodities. He alleged the UPA-government has failed to control the prices of petrol, diesel and essential commodities during the last eight years. He demanded the Central government to roll- back the petrol price. He said that the UPA government has hiked petrol charges 25 times during its regime. He alleged that the central government was hiking petrol price in the name of international market rate of petrol and depression of rupee value against the U.S. dollor.

BHARATH BANDH

He said that the party would organize ‘ Bharath Bandh’ against the steep hike of petrol price across the country on May 31. The Party Yuva Morcha will organize cycle, bullock- cart rally on May 28. The Party Mahila Morcha will organize protest demonstrations on May 29 and organize candle rally on May 30 against the steep hike in petrol price across the country.

Laxman said that the national executive meeting has decided to increase its ten percent vote bank across the country by 2014. He said that the meeting has decided to spread the party policy among the SC, ST and Minority people. He said that the party cadre would strive to increase the party vote bank, and the party membership drive would be launched from June 1 to July 31 across the country. The party internal election will be held in September at Village level, in October at Mandal level, in November at District level, in December first week at state and in the end of the December at National level.

Replying to a question, he said that there were no differences between the national leaders, and it was only the creation of some section of the media. He said that the party would declare the Prime Minister’s candidate at the appropriate time. (NSS)
