Telangana BJP State unit has urged Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to grant permission to erect statue of former Union minister and BJP leader late Ale Narendra, who was known as “Tiger Narendra” in the city.
In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, the BJP reminded the services of Narendra as a Union minister and MLA of united Andhra Pradesh. The party urged KCR to accord permission at one place selected by the BJP, the memorandum stated. The places identified by the party are: Park at Barkatpura crossroads, in front of MLA Quarters at Hyderguda, Himayathnagar crossroad and Kachiguda crossroad besides Sham temple.
A delegation, led by party floor leader in Telangana Assembly Dr K Laxman, submitted the memorandum. Khairatabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, A Bhaskar Raj, son of late Narendra, Vinay, BJYM State leader and party leader N Narayana were among the delegation. (NSS)
