Puducherry, June 28: The BJP Puducherry unit today urged the administration to take steps to curb the menace of anti-social elements in the union territory.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at the party’s executive committee meeting here.
Another resolution urged the administration to implement the promises given to the people, such as rice Rs one per kg and free Colour TV in the next budget session of the territorial Assembly.
Resolutions condemning the government for its failure to implement people welfare schemes, urging the administration to take steps to get 50 per cent seats in private medical colleges on Government quota, implementation of the Kamaraj Educational Assistance scheme, without modifications and setting up of a National Institute of Technology here for the benefit of local students, were adopted in the meeting.
