BJP trying to consolidate base in AP with Jagan Gali: Srinivas

Hyderabad, April 20: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has allegedly hatched a conspiracy to consolidate its base in the state by aligning with YSR Congress President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy through BJP Minister in Karnataka Gali Janardhan Reddy, APCC President D Srinivas alleged today.

The Karnataka Minister has close relations with former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s family.

Talking to press at Gandhi Bhavan here, Mr Srinivas claimed as the BJP was ‘weak’ in the State, it was using Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy through Mr Janardhan Reddy to play a prominent role.

He said these indications were emanating from Mr Jagan’s criticism of Congress President Sonia Gandhi who often said that the by-elections for Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pullivendula Assembly seats was a fight between Ms Gandhi and late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

The APCC Chief wondered whether Mr Jagan would enter into an alliance with the BJP or join the party after the by-poll.
