BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said that the party will go it alone in the elections if talks on sharing of seats between TDP and BJP proved not fruitful.
Tomorrow is the last date for filing of nomination papers in seemandhra region. There was some confusion between the two parties which had forged an alliance for the elections. Senior leaders of both parties are continuing their last minute efforts to resolve the confusion on sharing of some seats.
BJP official spokesperson Prakash javadekar, who was involved in forging a tie-up between the two parties from the beginning, is holding talks with the TDP leaders to resolve the problems amicably, Venkaiah Naidu said adding that if there is no progress in the talks, the party would go to polls on its own.
Final touches are being given to the candidates lists for seemandhra region, he said.
There was some confusion on the issue of swapping of seats which forced leaders of both the parties to sit for another round of talks to resolve the problems.(NSS)
