A clear picture on the BJP-TDP election alliance would emerge by this week-end as confabulation in this regard is in the final stage, BJP State party sources said here today.
BJP senior leader Prakash Javadekar, who is dealing with tie-up issue between the BJP and TDP is likely to visit the city for second time on Thursday. Javadekar, who has good rapport and acquaintance with the State party leaders already held a meeting last week. During his first visit to the State, Javadekar, who is also official spokesperson of the party, held consultations with BJP Telangana region president G Kishan Reddy and Seemandhra region party president K Haribabu on the proposed alliance with the TDP. He reported to have convinced the State party leaders, who were against the tie-up with TDP. Once a final shape emerges on seat sharing between BJP and TDP in Telangana region, a formal decision is expected by Saturday in this regard, sources said.
Javadekar said at Delhi that after consultation with Telangana and Seemandhra presidents, a final decision would be taken on tie-up with other parties, including TDP.
With the preliminary ground work for electoral alliances between the BJP and TDP has been completed, leaders of both parties held discussions on the proposal. After arrival in the city on Thursday, Javadekar, who apprised the party high command about his meetings earlier, may give some positive indications about the electoral alliance for coming general elections, the sources said.
