Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday said that the BJP and TDP would contest the forthcoming GHMC elections together and would also win them.
Addressing a press conference here, Kishan Reddy both the parties would soon initiate discussions on allocation of seats for each party after the finalisation of reservation of seats. He said that the BJP-TDP combine was quite strong in the city and it would win the elections.
Kishan Reddy also said that the State Government should conduct GHMC elections in January month-end. He said that the TRS Government was planning to hold elections during Sankranti festival holidays. This is being planned to deprive the voters hailing from Seemandhra region from exercising their franchise. He said that the TRS-MIM combine have been resorting to several unethical means to win the elections. However, he said that the people of Hyderabad would reject such political stunts. (INN)
