BJP to take part in sadak bandh

BJP today declared that it would actively take part in the ‘Sadak Bandh’ called by the Telangana Political JAC on Thursday, unmindful of the consequences.

Talking to the media here on Wednesday, BJP leader T Achary said his party would also be taking part in the program. He said people were coming in large numbers to participate in the Sadak Bandh planned on the National Highway No. 44. He called upon the people to make alternative arrangements on the day.

The BJP leader appealed to agitators to exclude emergency services, including medical treatment, milk, vegetables and other essential commodities from the bandh. He said the ‘Sadak bandh’ would continue despite any obstacles the government might create. He also appealed to the agitators to ensure that students would not be put to inconvenience as Class X examinations would begin on March 22.

Former Union minister Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, general secretary Achary, Telangana Movement Committee Joint Convener Nagurao Namaji would participate in the bandh at Alampur in Mahbubnagar district. While MLA Ennem Srinivas Reddy and former MLA Rama Krishna Reddy would participate in the program in Bootpur under in Jedcherla. BJP Legislature Party leader Endla Lakshmi Narayana, former MLA Manda Satyanarayana in Shadnagar, former MP Janga Reddy and former MLA Dharma Rao would participate in Shamshabad. State vice-president S. Malla Reddy and Telangana movement committee vice-chairman C Ashok Kumar Yadav and others would participate in Kothakota. State executive committee member Aljapur Srinivas and B Kondaiah would also participate. (NSS)
