BJP slams TRS for encouraging defections

Finding fault with the TRS Government for not giving satisfactory answer in the House to the Opposition parties and people, BJP floor leader Dr K Laxman made it clear to the Government that it has to approve the budget only after discussion on demands on budget and there was no need to pass the demands through guillotine process.
Addresssing the media at the BJPLP office here on Monday, Laxman said the ministers were competing with each other in replying to the Opposition members in the House. The ministers were giving irrelevant answers to the Opposition parties. Violating the traditions, the TRS government was encouraging defections from other parties, he said and found fault with the ruling party for defending their act openly. “It is not proper on the part of members, who defected from other parties to the TRS, to sit in the treasury benches. They have to tender their resignation and face by-elections”, he opined.
Taking exception to the ruling party suspending the TDP members from the House for one week, Laxman said the Government was raising curtain to new traditions. The Government has not allowed the Osmania University students, who were fighting for the last four months for job notifications and against the regularisation of Contract employees, to organise rally today forcefully, he said and alleged that the Speaker was not convening BAC meeting after the first meeting on the first day of the budget session.
