Delhi: Seconding Delhi High Court’s decision of rejecting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s argument that his claim to Delhi is superior to Centre appointed Lieutenant General, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice-president Shyam Jaju said the Government works on the decorum given by the Constitution adding that no government work based on stubbornness.
In a veiled attack to Kejriwal, Jaju said that anyone trying to work over passing Lieutenant General, Najeeb Jung is illegal.
“Working over passing the Lieutenant General is illegal and unconstitutional. Based on that, LG has asked an explanation from the Delhi government about the appointments, transfers made without his knowledge. Anyone who runs the government should take note of the Constitution. The Government works on the decorum given by the Constitution. Government cannot work based on stubbornness,” Jaju told ANI.
Following the court’s decision last Thursday, Jung has asked for all files related to decisions taken by AAP since taking charge in Delhi in February last year.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Government has said that it will challenge the verdict in the Supreme Court. (ANI)
