Hyderabad, November 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and official spokesperson Prakash Javdekar has demanded that the Central government should initiate the extradition process of American terrorist suspects, David Headley and his Canadian associate Tahawour Hussain Rana, in the backdrop of their alleged visit to Mumbai before the 26/11 attacks. The BJP national leader, who was in city in connection with party programmes, addressed a press conference here today.
Prakash Javdekar said if the Centre was serious about the investigation into the 26/11 attacks, it should also concentrate and thoroughly inquire into the local logistic support provided to Headley and Pakistan-origin terrorist, by Hussaian Rana.
The leader expressed his displeasure about the Central government’s non-serious attitude into the issue.
The BJP leader said that his party would expose Congress-led UPA government’s failure in tackling terrorism and naxalism and also its failure to curb the escalation of prices of essential commodities and Sugar scam in the coming parliament sessions.
The BJP would also expose the Central and State government’s failures in the ongoing GHMC election campaign, he said.
