Patna: Janata Dal (United) ( JD (U)) leader Ali Anwar on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of pursuing the politics of polarisation after the Rajasthan Government cancelled the Bakrid holiday.
“The BJP Government in Rajasthan does these activities so that there are debates on television and people respond. Their politics of polarisation continues, especially, when there is an election,” Anwar told ANI.
“Who will get the Bharat Ratna? When will a holiday be declared or not? They try to find out new ways to polarise debates,” he added.
Anwar predicted that the BJP would face a huge defeat in the Bihar assembly polls.
The BJP -led government in Rajasthan plans to celebrate September 25 as the birth anniversary of Jan Sangh ideologue Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
It has directed all colleges and schools to organise blood donation camps. This celebration is likely to coincide with Bakrid which falls either on September 24 or 25, depending on the citing of the moon. (ANI)
