Bengaluru [Karnataka]: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Karnataka unit leaders, including Lok Sabha MP Shobha Karandlaje, were detained here on Saturday when they were protesting against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over his remarks against the party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
The protesters condemned Siddaramaiah’s remarks and asked him to apologise.
“We are telling Siddaramaiah government if we are terrorists. I am BJP, I am RSS, you arrest me and put me in jail. He should apologise or otherwise you should arrest us. He is doing vote bank politics,” Karandlaje told media during protest.
Siddaramaiah on January 10 alleged that the BJP and the RSS had terrorists within their organisations and called people associated with the BJP as ‘Hindutva extremists’. (ANI)
