BJP polarising politics to reap benefit of their propaganda: Sibal

Bhopal: Condemning the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central Government for pursuing their saffron agenda while being in the government, Congress leader Kapil Sibal said they are polarising politics, because they know it well that unless they do it, they won’t be able to reap the benefit of their propaganda.

“The country is facing bigger economic issues-the economy is unable to move beyond seven percent mark in juxtapose to the promises they had made during the elections; exports is low for the past 14 months; retail and real estate sectors are gasping; and in the history of India there has never been so many non-performing assets ( NPAs) as are today. Even the Reserve bank Governor has said this,” he said.

“When the country is facing such issues, they have to do something so that those issues are covered up. That is why they want to divert people’s attention by raising issues like JNU, Hyderabad, etc,” said Sibal.

He added that until the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) becomes dominant force in Indian universities, they won’t relax.

“They think that they are the BJP Government and not the Government of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is acting as an RSS’ propagandist. We think that he is the Prime Minister of India, but he thinks that he is an RSS publicist. If it is not true then why did not he come out to speak against the JNU row and Hyderabad issues,” asked Sibal.

“The only time the Prime Minister spoke was ‘Satyameva Jayate’, however, how much is the truth and how much jayate is people know it well,” he added. (ANI)
