On the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is organizing large-scale celebrations to mark the occasion. Part of the celebrations will include the following programs.
On June 1, large-scale celebrations will be held at State Party Office at 12 midnight to mark the occasion of entering into the long-awaited and long-cherished happy moment and then proceed to Gun Park around 12 to 1 am i.e the early hours of June 2 to offer floral tributes to those who laid down their lives for us to celebrate his happiest moment.
National Flat will be hoisted at BJP Party Office at 10 am on June 2 and also at various district and mandal headquaters. BJP Yuva Mocha will organize Bike Rallies throughout the Telangana State. It was also decided to organize large-scale celebrations with pomp and show at RTC Kalyana Mantapam, Bagh Lingampally on June 2 at 4 pm where party workers, supporters, patrons and general public will participate in large numbers. BJP national general secretary Jagat Prakash Nadda will be the chief guest. It was also decided to pay tributes to martyres at places like Nirmal, Parkal and other places, which are the core centers for Telangana culture, tradition and heritage and also to pay floral tributes to the statues of great leaders of Telangana region like Rani Rudrama Devi and others, who are the symbols of Telangana culture and heritage. IT was also decided to perform ‘Ksheerabhishekam’ to the statues of Komaram Bheem and DR. B.R. Ambedkar.
The BJP took strong objection to the inclusion of symbol of Charminar in the Telangana Government’s official logo since it was time and again declared as a religious symbol by the heads of a religious group, and those used the symbol have also been arrested on some earlier occasions. BJP appealed to the Government to include the Telangana Amara Veerula Stupam in the official logo. (NSS)
