BJP plans dharna on May 15 at GHMC Headquarters

The Bharatiya Janata Party will hold a massive dharna at the GHMC Headquarters on May 15 in protest against the State Government’s attitude of neglecting city MLAs in the Swachh Hyderabad campaign.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy said that the State Government had completely neglected the city during the 11 months. No steps were taken to lift the garbage or maintain sanitation. However, in view of GHMC election, the government announced Swachh Hyderabad campaign. Instead of involving the city’s elected representatives, the TRS MLAs from other districts are being involved to draw political mileage in the next GHMC polls.

Kishan Reddy informed that the BJP legislators have met Governor ESL Narasimhan seeking his directions to the State Government to involve city MLAs in Swachh Hyderabad campaign.

Speaking about Rahul Gandhi’s visit, Kishan Reddy asked the AICC Vice-President to first accept the failure of UPA Government in preventing farmers’ suicides during its regime before taking up padayatra in Telangana. (INN)
