Ongole, February 28: “All sections of people are disappointed with the Congress-led UPA government. They are waiting for an opportunity to get rid of it,” said State BJP official spokesman Sannapareddy Suresh Reddy on Sunday.
Mr. Reddy, who was here to campaign for MLC candidate from graduates’ constituency A. Venkata Subba Reddy, told a press conference here that corruption had reached unmanageable levels as evidenced by a series of scams, including 2G scam, CWG and Adarsh Housing society.

“On the other hand, the Manmohan Singh government is clueless on how to rein in inflation and provide succour to the common people reeling under the impact of skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and periodic hike in fuel prices,” Mr. Reddy added.
People still remember the “golden period” of the Vajpayee regime and looking at the BJP as an alternative, he opined.
