Congress senior leader and former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy has alleged that a conspiracy has been hatched to defame country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Participating in Nehru birth anniversary celebrations at Gnadhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Jaipal Reddy made it clear that Nehru’s idealism only protected the nation. He opined that a Prime Minister, whoever it may be, has to follow the footsteps of Pandit Nehru.
Jaipal Reddy pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi too spoke in a spirit of Nehru idealism even in London. He said Pandit Nehru was responsible for building of modern India. Stating that the RSS has achieved dubious distinction by celebrating Children’s Day without Nehru’s photo, Jaipal Reddy alleged that the RSS was ruling the nation through the BJP. (NSS)
