BJP Telangana State party executive meeting was held here today under the leadership of party president Dr K Laxman.
In the two-day meeting, Union minister for labour & employment Bandaru Dattatreya, party’s national general secretary P Murlidhar Rao, state party affairs in-charge Krishnadas, BJP floor leader G Kishan Reddy, MLC N Ramchender Rao, national executive members Nagam Janardhan Reddy, P Shekar Rao, BJP MLAs, former ministers, former MLAs and other leaders attended the meeting. Decisions were taken for organisational elections, strengthening of party at booth level to district level.
Addressing the meeting, the party president Laxman said the party would oppose religion-based reservation politically and would also approach courts. He alleged that the State government was trying to gain politically by raising religion-based reservations.
Bandaru Dattatreya said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a bold and historical decision of demonetisation to check black money and corruption. BJP national general secretary P Murlidhar Rao expressed hope that the party would win in elections in five States scheduled to be held next month. (NSS)
