BJP observes ‘Black Day’ on AAP’s first year in power

New Delhi: The BJP’s Delhi unit on Sunday observed a “Kala Diwas (Black Day)” on the first anniversary and staged a protest against its “total failure”.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Satish Upadhyay said that it was very unfortunate that the government which got unprecedented mandate from the people has in just one year lost its connection with the common man.

“Aam Aadmi Party government’s one year is a total failure of governance. It is a black day today (Sunday),” he said as BJP workers gathered outside the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) convention centre where a programme to mark the AAP government’s first year in office was underway.

The party workers raised slogans against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and displayed placards that read “Har Roz Naya Bawal, Pehla Saal Kejriwal” (Every day a new controversy, first year of Kejriwal).

Kejriwal presented the ‘report card’ of the AAP government on completion of its one year in office by holding a public interaction session along with his ministers where he and his cabinet answered phone calls from people.
