BJP national executive meet concludes in Bengaluru

The two-day national executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concluded in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had in his address asked the party workers to be vigilant against misinformation campaigns.

He said that his government’s goals are upliftment of the poor, health care for all and overall infrastructural development to create more jobs and housing to the needy people.

He also said that the Land Acquisition Bill is for the infrastructural and industrial development of the nation.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, while addressing the media in Bengaluru earlier in the day, said that the Prime Minister has complemented the party for the successful membership campaign.

He said the 2013 Land Acquisition Bill by the former UPA government was anti-farmer in nature, preventing irrigation, electrification, road development and housing projects for the rural people. The Finance Minister added the present bill focuses on infrastructure development. (ANI)
