BJP MLA takes back remarks against Venkaiah Naidu

BJP MLA Y Srinivas today said he is withdrawing his statement made against BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu.
Speaking to reporters here, Srinivas said formation of Telangana is top-most important for him than anything else. ‘I joined BJP for separate statehood for Telangana’, he said.
It may be recalled that Srinivas had made some remarks against Venkahaih Naidu on the issue of Telangana, two days ago publicly. He had said that though the party made an announcement to support Telangana bill without any conditions, Venkaiah Naidu’s remarks were against the party stand. Following this, the BJP national senior leaders took the comments seriously and expressed their unhappiness with state president G Kishan Reddy, and asked him to take steps to settle the issue.
It is said that national president Rajnath Singh also directed Kishan Reddy to ask Srinivas to apologies to Venkaiah Naidu or face expulsion from the party.
As the situation was taking a serious turn in the party, Venkaiah Naidu himself said there was no need of apology from Srinivas, and asked Kishen Reddy to advice Srinivas to work sincerely for Telangana.
Following this, Srinivas reported to have said that he is withdrawing the statement made against party leader Naidu.(NSS)
