The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday demanded that the State Government impose a ban on Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen for the alleged hate speeches being delivered by its leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in different public meetings.
BJP State Presient G Kishan Reddy accompanied with senior leaders Bandaru Dattatreyya and Baddam Bal Reddy called on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the State Secretariat on Wednesday demanding that his government take stern action against the MIM leader. Talking to reporters at the Secretariat Media Point leader, Kishan Reddy said that Akbaruddin Owaisi was deliberately hurting the sentiments of Hindu community with his provocative remarks against the community and its Gods and Goddesses.
Kishan Reddy alleged that Akbaruddin Owaisi was promoting communal hatred with his speeches delivered in different parts of the State. He said that the MIM leaders were hatching a larger conspiracy to promote communalism in Telangana, Rayalaseema and Andhra regions. He also accused Akbaruddin Owaisi of praising Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab in his speeches.
The BJP leader requested the Muslim religious leaders to oppose the MIM leader for his provocative speeches. Dubbing Akbaruddin Owaisi as Qasim Razvi, he said that the MIM was targeting Hindu Gods to settle its differences with the Congress parties. He also questioned the silence of other political parties over Akbaruddin’s hate speeches.
Kishan Reddy informed that the BJP has submitted a copy of CDs of Akbaruddin Owaisi’s speeches to the Chief Minister along with a memorandum. He said that the copies would also be submitted to the Election Commissioner, Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar and DGP V Dinesh Reddy. (INN)
