BJP leaders held on way to Gandhi Bhavan to protest

Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP leaders today made an attempt to stage a dharna before Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday. The BJP leaders were arrested when they were on their way to Gandhi Bhavan and taken to different police stations.

The BJP leaders had planned to organize protest demanding an apology from Congress president Rahul Gandhi to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the controversial Rafael deal. Senior BJP leaders like G. Kishan Reddy, MLA Raja Singh and MLC N Ramchander Rao and other leaders took part in the protest program. The leaders initially took out a rally from their party headquarters in Nampally and marching towards the Gandhi Bhavan when police stopped them and took into preventive custody.

Speaking on the occasion, the BJP leaders alleged that Congress president Rahul Gandhi had been making baseless allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Rafale deal to
gain political mileage.
