BJP leader set Rs. 5 lakh prize for cutting Kanhaiya’s tongue

BJYM district president, Budaun district, Uttar Pradesh, Kuldeep Varshney kicked up a controversy by announcing prize money of Rs 5 lakh for cutting off the tongue of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar.

Kuldeep Varshney said, “Kanhaiya has insulted our parent organisation RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech at JNU campus and provoked others to raise slogans against ‘Bharat Mata’. His tongue should be chopped off. Anyone who would opt for it, I would give him Rupees 5 lakh”.

Kanhaiya, who was arrested on sedition charge on February 12, was released from Tihar jail on March 3 after getting an interim bail for six months.

Varshney has alleged that Kanhaiya shouted anti-national slogans and is now targeting everyone.

The court while granting Kanhaiya bail had instructed him not to indulge in anti national activities. Justice Prathibha Rani of the Delhi High Court who passed the order also directed him to furnish a surety of Rs 10,000.
