BJP leader and advocate N Ramchandar Rao today filed his nomination papers for the post of MLC from Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahbubnagar Graduates constituency.
The BJP candidate, who is also BJP national executive member and Bar Council of India member, submitted his nomination to Navin Mittal, Returning officer and special commission GHMC. Ramchandar Rao, who is also member Press Council of India, was accompanied by Uppal BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar and Greater Hyderabad BJP president B Venkat Reddy and others.
Speaking to the media after filing his nomination papers to Special Commissioner and Returning Officer of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Naveen Mittal, he said even months after Telangana Rashtra Samithi was formed, the Government in the newly-formed 29th State lost confidence of the people, who voted it to power. “With the support of the Telugu Desam and Lok Satta parties, apart from several people’s organisations, I am confident of a victory,” said Ramchander Rao, who lost twice earlier in the election race s to the Legislative Council and Assembly elections.
Among those who accompanied him in a rally from the Hyderabad City Unit office of the BJP in Barkatpura to the office of the GHMC were BJP MLAs Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and NVSS Prabhakar and Telugu Desam MLAs Vivek Goud and Maganti Gopinath. (NSS)
