BJP Lays Siege To Kachiguda Police Station

BJP leaders have laid a siege to the Kachiguda police station in the city, alleging that the circle inspector Koteswara Rao was indulging in settlements. They demanded immediate suspension of the officer.

Party leaders said that the CI was intervening in civil disputes including land settlements and was arresting the aggrieved persons when they go to the PS for complaining. A builder of Kachiguda accompanied by his workers has also joined the BJP in the agitation. He said the CI has been collecting regular mamools from him. He has alleged that the officer has demanded Rs. 15 as his kickback for a plot worth Rs. 60 lakhs. There was tension as BJP workers tried to barge into the police stationl. ACP Ranjan Ratan Kumar has intervened and made the CI apologize. He said he would also take the matter to the notice of the superior officers. (NSS)
