The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday lashed out at Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his lavishing praise on the last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan, adding that unwarranted remark by somebody in his position can potentially harm the country’s peace process.
criticizing KCR, BJP leader Ashok Reddy asks CM “if the Nizam was a great ruler, the British rulers too had done many good things despite their suppressive rule, would KCR want people to celebrate their regime?”
“A Chief Minister’s post is a responsible post. He should think twice before he speaks because it sends a strong message not only to India but to the detractors of peace process that India is pursuing in the international world,” he added.
The Congress party, however, avoided commenting on his remark.
