Reacting to Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) comment that the ongoing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) protest was a joint conspiracy of the Congress and AAP, Congress leader Meem Afzal on Tuesday said that BJP has become isolated and frustrated, and that is why they were making such statements.
“The BJP has become isolated and frustrated, and that is why they are making such statements. They have been saying this from long, but they keep forgetting that it was the BJP that led to the formation of the AAP,” said Afzal.
“The BJP and the RSS were openly supporting the Anna’s movement which makes it obvious that they are more close to them not us,” he said.
“The whole world is seeing what is happening. We have just extended our support from outside and nothing else,” he added.
Earlier, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar had said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led protest demanding suspension of Delhi Police personnel, who have been accused by his administration of dereliction of duty is a planned conspiracy of the Congress and AAP.
“I will blame Congress for all the drama that is going on. It is a joint conspiracy of the Congress and AAP, and is the formers attempt to divert attention from corruption allegations on their leaders,” said Javadekar.
“The Congress is ready to bring any kind of situation in the country to reduce the popularity of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi,” he said.
“It is a desperate attempt by the Congress to stop the BJP from winning the elections. Eventually, they will apply their exit plan which also must be ready. Through that they will make the AAP heroes again, because they cannot fight the BJP alone,” he added. (ANI)
