BJP to intensify stir on fee reimbursement

Hyderabad, June 30: The State unit of the BJP has decided to intensify the ongoing agitation on fee reimbursement and continuance of welfare schemes. Party leaders at a meeting held here today discussed the indefinite fast being observed by BJP state president G Kishan Reddy at Gandhi Hospital. They felt it was the right time to corner the Congress and the state government on public issues.

The meeting also felt the need to enlist support of other political parties and BC organisations in the agitation.

The protest programmes, with the participation of students and youth from the BC community, were a grand success across the state, they opined.

BJP national secretary Dr K Laxman took strong objection to Chief Minister K Rosaiah’s comments on the party and BC associations. He said college managements were not running the movement but only BC students and their families.

He said Rosaiah was trying to diffuse the fee reimbursement programme by not allocating sufficient funds.
