BJP hurt Muslims sentiments, says AIMIM

Charminar: In Karwan, Akbaruddin Owaisi said that the different political parties are taking all efforts to defeat AIMIM and divide Muslims in the old city of Hyderabad.

He then criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging that the nation has been duped by the BJP government.

At a public meeting in Golconda Akbaruddin said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to bring back black money, provide jobs and work for public welfare and assured women welfare in the country but the central government has intervened in Islamic law which has deeply hurt Muslim sentiments.”

“The Centre has double standards in their dealings with the Muslim community,” he added.

The MIM candidate Kausar Mohiuddin alleged that anti-AIMIM parties were planning to dupe people by making false allegations against the party.

“Anti-AIMIM parties have unified to damage the dignity of the party. The opposition parties’ actual aim is to strengthen the BJP but the people know that very well. We want people to not fall prey and teach them a lesson by the votes in the forthcoming polls,” Mohiuddin said at a public meeting in Karwan.

The United Muslim Forum has pledged to support the party to ensure victory for the AIMIM’s candidates in all 8 Old City constituencies.

Speaking to TOI, UMF general secretary Syed Muneeruddin Ahmed Muqtar said: “The United Muslim Forum has conducted a meeting headed by Maulana Mohammed Raheemuddin Ansari in which we have unanimously decided to support all AIMIM candidates in upcoming elections. Apart from this, it also decided to ask Muslims to exercise their franchise in favor of secularly minded candidates across the state.”
