BJP holds anti-UPA govt protest dharna in Jammu

Claiming that the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre has proved to be the “weakest dispensation”, the BJP took out a protest march here to highlight the scams and graft unearthed during the regime.

The party activists, led by their Jammu and Kashmir unit president Jugal Kishore Sharma, took out the march and sat on a dharna outside Raj Bhawan, protesting against the UPA government’s alleged involvement in several scams, including the 2G, coalgate, and CWG scams.

“The Congress-led UPA government at the centre has proved to be the weakest dispensation which instead of working for the security of citizens, only indulged in corruption and shielding the corrupt elements,” Kishore told reporters here.

Meanwhile, the leader of BJP Legislative party Ashok Khajuria said that NC-Congress coalition government in the state has been also promoting corruption at all levels without any fear of the law of the land.

BJP national spokesperson Capt Abhimanyu said the UPA government has not only crossed all limits of corruption but it is now resorting to “shameless” tactics to cover up the scams.
